South Terminal Complex Layout
TRAIN STATION
The Train Station consists of approximately 1.3 million square feet of terminal space accommodating the Terminal Link (APM) Station and up to three regional rail systems (Brightline inter-city rail, and possibly SunRail commuter rail and/or another system serving the International Drive/Convention Center area). It will also support ground transportation activity including taxis, shuttle buses and public bus operations.
SunRail currently operates over a 49 mile system with 16 stations through Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties, and a bus link to MCO. The direct rail link to MCO is a priority for the City of Orlando and the airport, and although no date has been published, it is part of the future development plans for SunRail.
TERMINAL LINK (APM) STATION
The Terminal Link (APM) Station is a 200,000 square feet facility which connects passengers to Terminals A & B and the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, similar to those that connect the Terminals A & B to Gates 1-129. The ride provides scenic views of the airfield, gates 70-99 and the Air Traffic Control Tower on its 4-minute journey. The station in Terminals A & B is on Level 3, between the security checkpoint for Gates 70-129 and the Terminal B airline check-in desks.
